The England Illegal Money Lending Team (IMLT): Live webchat launches for loan shark victims.

The National Illegal Money Lending Team have launched a new live chat service on their website which will be available every Tuesday from 26 May 2020, between 9am and 5pm. A new Instagram account has also been created to share news and important updates.

This new free course will help you develop skills and knowledge to look after your money. The course includes looking at how to be savvy when spending money, budgeting and the impact of tax on household finances, how to borrow money sensibly if necessary, simple savings accounts, investments and the risks involved, pensions and your retirement options.

Women’s Aid: Covid-19 safety advice for domestic abuse survivors

Practical advice and support from Women’s Aid on how to stay safe during coronavirus including steps you can take to feel safe, useful support services and their contact details, safety planning, housing and refuge, legal protections you can apply for and support available for children and young people affected by and facing abuse.

Action for Children: Coronavirus support for parents.

Action for Children is a charity and they are providing online support to parents and carers during the coronavirus pandemic on a range of topics including: homeschooling tips, managing challenging behaviour during lockdown, tips for family wellbeing and how to keep your toddlers, children and teenagers entertained at home.

Money Saving Expert: Free Mental Health and Debt Booklet (PDF Download).

This booklet is supported by Mind, Rethink, CAPUK and others for people with mental health problems and those caring for them. The booklet also covers how to handle debts when unwell, work with banks, free debt counselling, specific tips for bipolar disorder or depression sufferers and whether to declare a condition.
